Sterling People First Branding Campaign

Sterling is a global firm with operations in North America, Europe, Asia and South America. These videos were used to promote Sterling’s People First branding campaign within all their different business verticals word-wide.  It also helped to reinforce their People First philosophy to their 6,500 employees.

The “Hire Authentic People” video won a 2023 GDUSA In-house Design Award for motion design.

EBI Screening News Network

In 2013 EBI hired me to build an internal marketing department. The first thing I did was convince the C suite we needed to shift our marketing strategy from cold calling to a digital inbound content creation program.

One of my key content strategies was video. I hired Jennifer Gladstone, an ex news anchor, and together, we created the Screening News Network. The SNN video campaign created weekly videos covering a wide array of topics concerning the screening and HR community.  These video were written by Jennifer and shot by me in a small video studio I had built in our corporate office. Videos were shared socially, posted to our website and YouTube, and emailed to nearly 10,000 SNN subscribers. We produced hundreds of videos from 2014 until EBI was sold to Sterling in 2021. Then continued on as Sterling’s Screening News Network.

SNN won an award for best digital ad campaign from Baltimore’s American Marketing Association.

Our video team flew down to Atlanta to meet with a very satisfied EBI customer to shoot this testimonial. I shot the interview in her office and grabbed some b-roll while we were there. Shots of the EBI team were shot in our corporate office in Maryland.

Wydler Brothers – Oh Brother! Campaign

Everyone who knows Hans and Steve Wydler personally and in the realty community know how super competitive they are in a fun, light-hearted way… mostly. These videos were created to share on social networks and via email through their sphere of influence to complement their “Oh, Brother!” ad campaign.

These videos were created on a $3,000 shooting & editing budget. Sometimes you just need to get creative.  With a one-man video production team, we invaded their office and shot these videos while actual business was being conducted by other realtors around us. Me and my business partner, along with a few Wydler Brothers employees, acted as extras.

SNN – Special Reports & Remote Video Shoots

Besides SNN’s weekly news series, we also created five to six special reports each year. These reports were deeper-dives into HR and screening topics and usually included interviews with EBI screening experts and other experts in the HR community.

In the video below and to the left, SNN partnered with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to create a behind-the-scenes look of how the Annual SHRM Conference is produced. This video was very popular and was featured on SHRM’s website to promote the SHRM conference the following year. We went on to create several of these SHRM videos between 2015 and 2018.

The other video covered our sales team’s annual day of community service where they made cookies that were delivered by Meals on Wheels.
